Meet Rian

My Story

I came into this world a curious person. I have always been moved by the journeys, struggles, and gifts of others, and I always so curious as to how or why people are the way they are. I have always been drawn to people who are identified as "others," both by those around them and how they identify themselves.

I grew up in a non-religious household and was raised outside of the often rigid, black and white constructs of "good" and "evil" and away from the religious trauma, guilt, and shame that often comes with the constant looming threat that you would burn for eternity should you fall short of God's decrees.

I felt free and empowered to walk my own path, to follow my bliss, and indulge my curiosity to my heart's content. For over a decade, I dedicated my time to being a performing musician, finding my own kind of spirituality playing in metal bands, experiencing altered states of reality while connecting with pulse of the crowd, all connected and together, and sharing the magic of the moment.

Although my time as a musician was deeply enriching, overtime I came to feel that there was something else tugging at me -- something invisible with massive gravity, pulling me out of orbit like the long theorized Planet X.

This tugging pulled me into deep self-investigation, and I began to question my own motivations, skills, gifts, struggles, challenges, and reaching for that depth that I could intrinsically feel, stronger and stronger every day. My discovery of the book, Gifts Differing: Understanding Personality Type gave me answers to some of my queries, but still left many unanswered.

My curiosity led me down the path towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, with a concentration on Spiritual Psychology. My program offered a broad sampling of what
